Terms of Service

1 Your account

You need an account to use Taily. You are responsible for safeguarding your sign-in credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in some jurisdictions) to use Taily.

2 What Taily does

Taily is a task-management app. You can create tasks, projects, folders, lists, notes, and, with the appropriate subscription, share items with other users, sync with Google Calendar, and access advanced planning features.

3 Subscriptions, auto-renewal, and cancellation

Pro features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are available as:

• Monthly — billed every month.
• Annual — billed once per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

Auto-renewal

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. You will be charged within 24 hours of the end of the current period, at the published price for your plan.

Free trial

If you start a free trial, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial. You may cancel at any time during the trial. If you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged. Any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you start a paid subscription.

Managing and cancelling

Purchased on iOS: manage at Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your device.

Purchased on Android: manage at Google Play → Account → Subscriptions.

Purchased on the web (Payfast): manage under Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription in the app, or by contacting support.

Refunds

Refund requests for Apple IAP should be submitted via reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, via your order history. For Payfast (web) subscriptions, email roscoe@roscodetech.com within 14 days of the charge.

4 Referral program

If you're invited to use a referral code, you receive the code's advertised discount on your subscription (while the code remains active). The person who owns the code may receive a commission on the payments you make, as long as your subscription stays active and the code remains active. If the code is deactivated, or if you change to a different code, the attribution to the original referrer stops.

5 Your content

You retain all rights to the content you create in Taily (tasks, notes, projects, etc.). We don't claim ownership of your content. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your content solely to operate the app for you and anyone you explicitly share with.

You are responsible for your content. Don't store unlawful, infringing, or abusive material. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6 Sharing

If you invite others to a project, folder, or list, they can view and (depending on the permissions you grant) edit that content while the share is active. You can revoke access at any time from within the app.

7 Service availability

We work hard to keep the app available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, change, or remove features from time to time. We'll give reasonable notice of major changes where practical.

8 Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted, ROSCODE TECH (PTY) LTD is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

9 Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. On account deletion, your content is permanently removed within 30 days (subject to retention of backups required for lawful operation).

10 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country require a different forum.

11 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of Taily after a change means you accept the updated terms.
